When Fortune Magazine featured LinkedIn in a recent cover story about the future of recruiting, LinkedIn naturally wanted to make the most of the free publicity. In particular, they wanted corporate recruiters to know that LinkedIn is a highly effective, cost-efficient tool that offers them a larger pool of qualified talent than traditional sources. To get the message out, Slack and Company produced a video featuring John Moschitta, Jr., the fastest talker in the world, actually reading the entire 2,500-plus-word article out loud—in under two minutes. The video quickly went viral, garnering over 2,000 hits in its first month online.
