How a trade group leaves old perceptions in the dust

National Demolition Association, an industry group representing over 1,000 U.S. and Canadian demolition services companies, came to Slack and Company with a perception challenge. The public saw the demolition industry as dealing with “broken bricks and dust,” but the companies NDA represents see their work as enabling renewal. As part of our repositioning effort, we developed a new logo, new tagline—Making Way—and a new website with a greater focus on preservation and sustainability. Our efforts were well received by NDA’s members, and growth spiked by 14% within a 12-month period.
