The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) stages the largest construction show in North America, CONEXPO-CON/AGG. Its 2014 edition, tagged “IF IT’S NEW, IT’S HERE,” represents an immense unveiling of all of the newest equipment, technology and product breakthroughs in the industry. Held once every three years, effective advance promotion is key to driving attendance.

Slack and Company suggested AEM, themselves exhibitors at MINExpo 2012, create some real buzz with their booth. What resulted was RACE TO THE REVEAL—PLAY TO WIN, a traffic-stopping concept where passersby could race a scale-model RC truck in a timed obstacle course contest for prizes including $250 Visa gift cards and passes to CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014.
